E30 M3s are notoriously expensive if driven due to the fact that the engine is a high-revving, high-compression 4-cylinder whose parts are almost all exclusive of any other engines in the BMW lineup. Just looking at the car from an investment standpoint, yes if you buy it and put it in a car capsule and don't drive it, you'll be able to make a profit on it in a few years. However, once you start driving it, the value drops and the operating cost skyrockets.
